In 1981 a poster titled “Access for disabled persons” was produced to commemorate the International Year of Disabled Persons (IYDP).
A revised edition of the poster, titled “Access for All”, has been produced by the Australian Institute of Architects National Access Work Group (NAWG) to commemorate the 30th anniversary of IYDP and the commencement of the Premises Standards 2010. The 2011 ArchiTeam Awards for Achieving Excellence in Architecture were launched on 24 November, 2011 at The Steps Gallery in Carlton. The ArchiTeam Awards have grown in stature since its inception in 2005 with a record number of entrants this year. The Judges Jury was represented by Associate Victorian Government Architect and Director of Garner Davis Architects, Jill Garner along with Simon Knott of BKK and James Staughton of Workshop Architecture.
