Congratulations to Richard Kerr Architects whose project Binne House has been selected as finalists in the 21012 Houses Award in the category of New House (over 200m2). Binnie House is has a rectilinear ground level form contrasted by a distinctly curvilinear first floor of this new family home in the Melbourne bayside area. Off-formed concrete walls and roof provide a sharp contemporary edge to the street presence while courtyards within enhance the privacy and natural light. International Year of Disabled Persons

In 1981 a poster titled “Access for disabled persons” was produced to commemorate the International Year of Disabled Persons (IYDP).
A revised edition of the poster, titled “Access for All”, has been produced by the Australian Institute of Architects National Access Work Group (NAWG) to commemorate the 30th anniversary of IYDP and the commencement of the Premises Standards 2010.
