Watch Series 1 of The Naked Architect

Early last year, ArchiTeam, in collaboration with Open House Melbourne and the ARBV, produced a series of workshops for the general public as a guide to commissioning and working with a residential architect.

Each workshop was hosted at an ArchiTeam member’s project and MC’ed by directors Warwick Mihaly, Zoe Geyer and Fooi-Ling Khoo. Huge thanks to the featured members and their lovely clients for sharing their experience.  The series was completely sold out as part of Open House Melbourne. The sessions were filmed and are now available to view here.

Following the 2017 program, OHM conducted a survey of attendees, 84% of respondents said they would be more likely to engage an architect based on the information presented in the sessions where only 52% had indicated they would prior to attending—demonstrating the value of learning more about the process, and the inherent value of engaging an architect.

Season Two of The Naked Architect was launched in March as part of the Melbourne Design Week and features members, WARC Studio, Krisna Cheung Architects, RossTang Architects, Mani Architecture, Inbetween Architects and Molecule Architects.

The third series is currently being organised. We’re all about including and promoting members, so let us know if you’ve recently finished a great project with an enthusiastic client and would like to be considered for an upcoming season of The Naked Architect.
